What? San Diego's favorite race! A day of running and walking for the whole community (strollers, striders and even people who run really fast).
When? Sunday, May 4, 2008; 8 a.m.
Where? The 8K starts near the Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park, runs down scenic Highway 163 (closed, of course) and finishes at Pantoja Park on G Street in downtown San Diego. Click here for course map.
Who? Everyone, that's who! Over 4,000 people each year.
Why? It's an opportunity to support The San Diego Council on Literacy in their efforts
to help every San Diegan become literate.
And? It's so much fun! Everyone gets a cool race shirt. And we all get to celebrate running, walking and reading at the finish line, with food, entertainment, prizes and awards!
